Playing the Elements Game
The Elements video slots game comes set with twenty fixed pay lines, five columns, which substitute the game’s reels, and three rows. While the playing field is set, players can still adjust the coin denomination they wish to play with and the number of coins they wish to bet. The Elements video slots game does not feature traditional reels with symbols. Instead, the game features columns, into which the symbols will fall as in an avalanche.
The Avalanche Feature
During the base game, symbols will fall into the reel-like columns on the screen and thereby form winning combinations. If matching symbols are landed and a winning combination formed, the symbols that form part of that winning combination will explode, and other symbols will have the chance to fall into those empty slots and form more winning combinations. Consecutive winning combinations are tracked by an avalanche meter on the side of the screen. Once players have succeeded in landing four winning combinations consecutively, this will trigger one of four possible free fall modes. Each free fall mode represents one of the elements. Which element and which free fall mode has been activated can be tracked on the energy meter situated on the screen.
The Free Falls Modes
Once one of the free fall modes has been activated, players will receive ten free falls, which may be likened to regular free spins. Each free fall mode will come with its own set of wild symbols that is linked to the element in place.
In the free falls feature, wild symbols will operate as during the base game and allow players to substitute any of the other symbols in order to complete winning pay lines and make up the best possible winning combinations.
In the fire free falls feature, the wild symbols will only appear on the second, third, and fourth columns. When they appear, they will transform any two adjacent symbols in any direction into another wild symbol. Through this, wilds may also appear on the first and fifth columns.
In the air free falls feature, two air wild symbols will appear anywhere on the reels and remain on that column for the duration of the free falls. However, after the first fall they may randomly move to another adjacent position and remain there for the next fall.
In the earth free falls feature, the earth wilds can only appear on the second, third, and fourth reels. The earth wilds are sticky and will remain in their positions until they form part of a winning combination or until the free falls feature ends.
If the water free falls feature is active, the water wilds that appear on the second, third, and fourth reels will become expanding wilds and transform all the other symbols on that column into wilds as well.
